Felinotherapy
If you're considering the possibility of helping others and sharing your love for your furry feline friend(s), you may have considered felinotherapy, which, like canistherapy, is part of the AAI's zoo-rehabilitation program.

Ragdolls and Ragamuffins are artificially bred breeds. Both breeds originally shared a common foundation and were created by Anne Baker of Riverside, Southern California, USA, in the 1960s. They are therefore relatively very young breeds.
The English word "rag" means rag and "doll" means doll. Ragdolls get their name from their characteristic ability to relax their muscles when picked up or when sleeping. They are mostly very friendly cats and have been bred in the Czech Republic since the early 1990s. They are one of the most numerous breeds bred in the NCHK. The ragdoll breed has full CAC status, so they can get all show titles.
Ragamuffin means "ragamuffin", but it can also mean - and American breeders understand it as such - "a muffin baked by Ann Baker" - Baker is a baker. This name was given to the original Ragdolls by breeders who broke away from Ann Baker because they did not like her indiscriminate business practices. Ragamuffins have a broader genetic base than Ragdolls, and their appearance has been influenced by the breeds they have been bred with : British, Siberian, Persian, Ragdoll, domestic cats and others. This mating is to ensure better health of the Muffins. They have been bred in the Czech Republic since 2015 and still have an experimental status, which means they cannot get the title of champion or higher.
Representatives of both breeds work successfully in Animal Assisted Interventions. They are very teachable cats and you can train with them for fun and cat agility.

Our Radolls and Muffs are appropriately curious, so there is never enough caution in the home. If you're looking for information on pollutants and possible toxic substances in the home, we recommend the video "Avoiding Toxic Traps For Cats"
